Derrick Anderson

Rev. Derrick Anderson, is a graduate of Union University. He studied Organizational Leadership and Biblical Studies. He served in various leadership roles at Union including, Student Government, Student Senate, and Executive Council member and co-founder of Common Ground (minority organization). He is also the first African American male Ambassador for the University. In Jackson Tennessee, Derrick served as a mentor for urban youth through Evangelic Community Church. Rev. Anderson completed his Masters in Organizational Leadership at Luther Rice University in Lithonia, Georgia. Rev. Derrick additionally volunteers with the Shelby County Sheriff Department. Rev. Derrick Anderson accepted the call by God to preach the gospel in March of 2003 at Brown Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Bartholomew Orr. Derrick was licensed October 3, 2004 and Ordained December 17, 2006 at Brown Missionary Baptist Church.
